Phrases

In this topic, I've learned the Definitions of Noun  Phrase, Verb phrase, Adjective phrase, Participial Phrase and Prepositional Phrase. A Nun phrase is a group of words that does the function of a noun in a sentence. A Verbal Phrase contains the Main verb and any helping Verbs. We all know that a verb is an action words like jump fly, dance, etc. while a Helping verb always helps an action word, usually a helping verb is positioned before the verb. Some examples are am, is, are, was, were, has, have, had, will, been, etc. An Adjective phrase is a group of words that functions as an adjective in a sentence. It consists of adjective modifier and any word that modifies a noun or a pronoun. A Participial phrase is a group of word that consists of a Participle plus its modifier and complements while a Prepositional Phrase is a group of word that starts with a preposition and ends with a nun or a pronoun.
